This book sheds light on the most prominent, effective and feasible solutions that pave the way to the establishment of a water and agricultural policy capable of serving the Lebanese citizen and providing him with a good standard of living. It contains a rich kaleidoscope of shared knowledge, experience and aspirations from different local and international academic and official parties, all of whom reiterated the importance of water as a primary element in achieving both food and national security. Accordingly, all participants agreed on the necessity of establishing a tight cooperation between all competent authorities in order to fast-track the implementation of an appropriate scientific and practical vision leading to the good management of the water in Lebanon.

هذا الكتاب يضيء على أبرز الحلول الفعالة والممكنة ، التي تتيح وضع سياسة مائية وزراعية قادرة على خدمة الانسان اللبناني في انتاجيته وعيشه الكريم .  ففيه خبرات وتطلعات من غير جهة أكادمية ورسمية محلية أو خارجية أو دولية ، أكدت جميعها أن المياه عامل أولي ، ليس لتحقيق الأمن الغذائي فحسب ، بل الأمن القومي ايضا.  ولذلك تلاقى المشاركون على وجوب التعاون الحثيث بين مختلف الجهات المعنية لوضع موضع التنفيذ السريع الرؤيا العلمية المناسبة ، التي تؤول الى حسن ادارة المياه في لبنان ، لئلا يقع فريسة الجفاف بعد ليس اكثر بكثير من عشر سنوات .
