Camelait: The Making of a Dairy Idol
By Antoine Honein
Camelait: “The Making of a Dairy Idol” is the first non-scientific book covering the topic of the increasingly popular Camel Milk. This richly illustrated story, staged in the UAE, is a tale of a baby camel, hidden, and protected by her loving family because she was born with a difference. After she grows up and has a calf of her own, her family couldn’t help but notice how much better her milk is than any other camel milk they have previously had. Her secret remains tightly held until Dubai launches the world’s first competition to locate the camel with the tastiest milk of all. This brings our heroine into the limelight. The national competition earns “Camelait” the right to represent the UAE in the International competition. “Camelait” eventually becomes the world’s best known Camel and its Dairy Idol!
