يعالج هذا الكتاب، وهو السادس في سلسلة قضايا المرحلة الأخيرة من المفاوضات الفلسطينية – الإسرائيلية، مسألة اللاجئين الفلسطينيين من ناحية وضعهم القانوني على الصعيد الدولي، وأوضاعهم القانونية في دول اللجوء العربية. كما يعرض المواقف الإسرائيلية، الرسمية وغير الرسمية، من قضية اللاجئين الفلسطينيين ومصيرهم. ويتناول، في الجانب المقابل، المواقف الفلسطينية الرسمية وغير الرسمية من هذا الموضوع.

الدكتور إيليا زريق، أستاذ العلوم الاجتماعية في جامعة كوينز، أنتاريو (كندا)، وعضو الوفد الفلسطيني إلى مجموعة العمل الخاصة باللاجئين في المفاوضات المتعددة الأطراف. له عدة دراسات ومؤلفات عن أوضاع الفلسطينيين الاجتماعية، مقيمين ولاجئين. شارك في تحرير عدة كتب وله العديد من المقالات الصادرة في مجلات أكاديمية.

This book is the sixth in the series about the final status issues in the Palestinian-Israeli peace talks. It deals with the legal status of the refugees internationally and within the Arab host countries. It also outlines official and unofficial Israeli and Palestinian policies on the issue and on the fate of the refugees.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR(S)

Elia ZUREIK is professor of sociology at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Since 1992, he has been a member of the Palestinian delegation to the Refugee Working Group of the multilateral tract of the Middle East peace talks. He is currently completing a study of Palestinian returnees to the West Bank and is coediting an analytic bibliography on Palestinian refugees.
