During the half-century in which he lived in or visited the Arab world, Ronald Codrai was rarely without a camera. Photography to him has always been a means of recording the interesting, the unusual, or the pictorially appealing. Assembled here is a selection of one hundred photographs taken by Codrai throughout Arab world. At an average shutter speed on one hundredth of a second, their combined exposures amount to only one second, yet they span 50 years. In this book, he has made use of colour, black white and sepia toning to highlight the atmosphere of the scenes he has captured on film.

The selection includes photographs of Palestine, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco and Tunisia.
