Odd Karsten Tveit has worked as the correspondent for Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) in the Middle East since 1978. He has written several critically acclaimed books about Israel and Lebanon and also made a prize-winning documentary In the Footsteps of Sharon which covered the involvement of Ariel Sharon in the 1982 Sabra and Shatila massacres.
